But.. if you start walking through the woods, off the trails... you come across this.
I took the photo ten years ago, but painting it brought back the memories and feelings of that day!

For as long as i can remember my mothered painted, mostly landscapes - trees and mountains and rivers. She also loved to paint flowers, a few animals and I recently found a painting of an owl among her artwork that I inherited!
We watched various artists daily on TV including the iconic Bob Ross, enjoying his gentle and encouraging style.
Since my Danny, my brother will be celebrating his 83 birthday and he likes owls, I framed her painting for him.
Not a very demonstrative person, she encouraged my art by suppling my arts and craft materials and seeing her draw and paint, rather than verbally. My dad on the other hand always told me what a smart and good artist I was! Sadly he passed away when i was only 14… I could have used that encouragement in the years to come.
At least, recently, I have found my way back to art!!!
