Finished my painting inspired by the Game of Thrones (going through at least four revisions). At least that’s where the inspiration started... as I painted I thought more about my childhood, reading about Robin Hood, King Arthur and Ivanhoe!
I especially remember books illustrated by N.C. Wyeth!!! They were old heavy books of rough paper, but the color illustrations were on shiny paper, each protected by a thin tissue paper page!
I’ve included two paintings by N.C. Wyeth.
Sir Lancelot I remember from one of the books he illustrated.
The painting of his family home, I’ve only just discovered, but it’s an area of the Brandywine Valley I frequently visit and has inspired quite a few of my paintings!
Finished my painting (going through at least four revisions).
